The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center or the DECC is a community center that was established in the year 1966 to serve the locals. Over the years the arena has been expanded from time to time. The Pioneer Hall was added in the year 1976 with an ice rink, then a convention center for a number of private events and finally the AMSOIL Arena which is only used for men's and women's ice hockey games.
