Duluth is a coastal city in the state of Minnesota, U.S.A with a population of about 86,110. It is the second-largest city on the shores of Lake Superior after Thunder Bay, Ontario. Duluth is called 'the San-Fransisco of the midwest' as its topography is dominated by a precipitous hillside that stretches from Lake Superior to high inland mountains. Duluth is a winter wonderland with numerous trails that run through valleys, peaks, and forests, making it a popular destination for cross-country skiing, snowboarding, sailing, kayaking and fishing.
