The well-known Ohnsorg Theatre, named after its founder Dr. Richard Ohnsorg, hosts regular performances of folk plays, all of which are performed in the "Low German" dialect. It is the only professional theater in Germany to do so. Many performances are broadcast on TV and radio by the North German Broadcasting Corporation (NDR). With a large ensemble and big names such as Heidi Kabel, Henry Vahl and Edgar Bessen, the Ohnsorg Theatre rarely, if never, disappoints.
