La Sucrière

Previously used as a sugar storage facility, La Sucrière is a tribute to contemporary art in the city of Lyon. The three story structure located on the bank of the river Saône exhibits creations from various artists, some of which are controversial like the Origin of the Corpse exhibition and some are long remembered for their distinct style and purity. This exhibition hall pays heed to artistic freedom and gives space to creations that do not follow the traditional conventions of art forms. A place highly recommended for art admirers.
