Friedrichsplatz

Labeled as one of the largest squares of the country, Friedrichsplatz lies in the heart of Kassel and is surrounded by some impressive structures of immense historical importance. Some of these include the majestic State Theater, Fridericianum, and Zwehrenturm, among others. It is nestled at the foot of an abandoned vineyard of the Kassel plateau which has been inhabited since the 17th Century. The sprawling landscape of the square plays host to some well-curated classical and contemporary music concerts throughout the year.
