The city of Aalborg, or Ålborg, lies along the curve of the Limfjord sound. The history of this Danish city dates back more than 1,000 years, when it was established as a trading post, and it has tremendously grown over the centuries to become the fourth largest city and the third largest municipality in Denmark. For visitors, just the sight of the buildings and other structures around this city would be a treat, as most of them date back centuries. Some of the sights to not be missed are the Aalborg Castle, the Budolfi Church, Church of Our Lady (Vor Frue Kirke), the Aalborg Zoo and more.
