91 Brick Lane, Dray Walk, Old Truman Brewery, London, E1 6QL
Anyone who is a fan of independent music knows the name 'Rough Trade'. An entity that has been an essential part of the city's music scene since the late 1970s, Rough Trade is not just another store that sells records and CDs. The first store, which is located on Talbot Road, was opened in 1976, and it is this store that also was the origin of the famous Rough Trade Records, a label that has been associated with artists like Arcade Fire, The Smiths and James. The Brick Lane location opened in 2007, with an area of 464.5 square meters (5000 square feet). The store hosts live performances on its stage and also has a cafe serving delectable coffee and light snacks.
