Nestled by a lake in Rapperswil, the history of Schloss Rapperswil dates back to the 13th century. Built by Count Rudolf II, the castle is known to have housed prominent rulers including Count Johann I, Duke of Austria Albrecht II and Count Wladyslaw Broel-Plater. Currently a popular tourist attraction, the castle offers breath-taking views of the surrounding areas and also offers tours of the building. The castle-grounds and premises are also rented for various events and private functions.
