Initially housed inside the Hotel Mårtensson since the 19th Century, Halmstads Teater was constructed at its present address in 1954 as the city needed a bigger theater. Halmstads Teater has witnessed city's history and has been a popular entertainment venue even before city's development. The spacious interiors of this theater are adorned with beautiful frescoes and paintings contributed by artists of the city during its making. Halmstads Teater features six event spaces which can accommodate from 10 to 900 people and are designed to accommodate both private and public events. Choose from a concert, play or a comedy show for a delightful experience.
