John G. Riley Center & Museum

Tallahassee, Florida is endowed with a significant historic house in the form of John Gilmore Riley Historic House. It represents the house of John Gilmore Riley who was a prominent member of the African-American community in the city. In present times, the house is referred to as the John Gilmore Riley Center/Museum of African American History and Culture. It provides engaging and knowledge-enhancing programs for kids, such as Riley's Kids Afterschool Program, Riley Inschool Heritage Lessons, Power-up Summer Camp, to name a few. It can be visited from Monday to Thursday, between 10:00a and 4:00p while the timings for Friday and Saturday are from 10:00a to 2:00p.
