Kelvingrove Bandstand and Amphitheatre is nestled inside the premises of the sprawling Kelvingrove park in Glasgow's Hillhead neighborhood. Originally built in the year 1924 by Glasgow Corporation Parks Department, it served as a key venue for a host of cultural events till the year 1999. The very first feats held here were classical music recitals on weekend afternoons. Over the years, the coliseum welcomed several folk music and Jazz bands of Scotland. Hordes of political propaganda have been crafted in the grounds of the park. Post its remodeling, it emerged as a prime locale for live gigs, speeches, theater plays and dance programs.
