Since its establishment, Gothenburg Film Studios has quickly garnered much acclaim as a film production house. The complex supports over 30 film companies, and boasts three well-equipped studios and sundry buildings. Apart from producing films, the studio is also renown as a event venue and regularly hosts concerts, musical performances and events throughout the year. Perhaps the most popular event held at Gothenburg Film Studios is the annual GoKinema which is an event that provides film industry professionals a chance to come together, and share ideas and information.
