Ursberg Abbey is a convent situated in the very heart of the quiet hamlet of Ursberg in Germany. The site was formerly used as a Premonstratensian monastery, which was founded in 1126 by Wernher of Schwabegg-Balzhausen. The premises of the abbey feature a spectacular church, which was constructed in 1230 in the Baroque architectural style by Josef Dossenberger. The interiors of the church are awe-inspiring, with colorful frescoes adorning its ceilings. At present, the site is used to house a Franciscan community of nuns. A must-visit!
