Located in the heart of Bratislava, the Hlavne namestie translates to Main Square and is in fact one of the most popular junctions in the city. It is always abuzz with activities and tourists throng this square to get a taste of the real Old Town life. The beautiful Maximilian Fountain is at the center of the square and surrounding it are some of the most magnificent historical buildings of the city. Visitors here can grab souvenirs from the various shops or just admire the brilliant architecture of the different palaces, hotels, the Old Town hall and various ancient sculptures. It is a true social and cultural hub of Bratislava.
