The turquoise waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea washes the western coast of Italy. Steeped in Greek mythology, the sea is believed to have been the place where wind-keeper Aeolus kept the winds of Mistral, Libeccio,Sirocco and Ostro. A delightful canvas of several shades of blue, the Tyrrhenian Sea commemorates the Tyrrhenian people of the region and delineates tales that date back to 6th Cenutry BCE. From Sardinia to Sicily, it forms the breathtaking backdrop of some of Italy's most beautiful regions, while gently receiving a pat on the back from the adjoining Mediterranean Sea.
