The transatlantic band, A Different Thread, is fronted by Alicia Best from Durham, North Carolina and Robert Jackson from Lichfield, England. The two first met busking in Ireland ? a chance encounter that sparked a musical adventure across a dozen countries, touring, writing, and living in constant motion.
Described as "warm, deep songwriters" by Folk Radio UK, A Different Thread weaves together elements of 70s' folk revival, americana, and Appalachian blues. Their original sound is a timeless blend of hair-raising harmonies, mournful fiddle and harmonica, with stirring guitar and a suitcase drum-kit.
