Jesse Woods

At first glance, the pastoral country folk of Jesse Woods doesn't seem like the kind of music that would be made by a former Texas A&M football player. Growing up in the Houston, Texas suburb of Katy, Woods loved traditional country music. In his own songs, Woods has incorporated wide swaths of American indie folk into his sound, which deftly walks the line between urban hipster folk and the old-school, guitar-slingin' cowboy music that Woods grew up on.
