Growing up in New York City, Chris Glover became involved in music at an early age, singing in his school's gospel choir with a young Alicia Keys. With age he utilized his choral training to hone his characteristic falsetto vocals, layering them over highly danceable electropop hooks and disco-inspired beats, performing under the moniker Penguin Prison. After grabbing the attention of DFA producer Holy Ghost!, the two began collaborating, using mostly analog instruments and dropped a few singles that set audiences dancing both in the US and UK. With well-received remixes of artists such as Passion Pit and Kylie Minogue to his name, as well as a popular live show brimming with contagious energy, Penguin Prison is likely to only gain popularity.
