Mamiffer

Formed by avant-garde pianist Faith Coloccia and Aaron Turner, who is most notable for being in the progressive metal band Isis, Mamiffer builds stunning sonic compositions that borrow elements from contemporary classical, post-rock and ambient drone. Ocassionally incorporating other musician friends into the mix, the Seattle-based collective can effortlessly shift from delicately sparse instrumentation to epic crescendos, always bordering on the cinematic and often on the occult.
