Elvenking is an Italian heavy metal band that formed in 1997. Due to the use of strings and synthesizers, and because of its folkloric lyrical content, the band is often considered to be equal parts symphonic and folk metal. Elvenking's music is highly produced and maintains a glossy polish to it that should appease hard rock fans as much as it does devoted listeners of the group's niche metal styles. The band shifts from chugging power rock to metal formalities full of squealing solos and quick double bass drum pedal rolls effortlessly, which has made its six full-length albums moderate successes throughout Europe.
