Keith Jarrett is a pianist/composer from Allentown, Pennsylvania who ranked among the greatest jazz fusion artists of all-time. Since getting his start as an accompanist in the early 1970s, Jarrett went on to perform regularly with such jazz icons as Art Blakey, Charles Lloyd and Miles Davis just to name a few. Jarrett is well-known for his prodigious talent as a group leader and solo performer and also as one of the first generations of performers to successfully begin incorporating elements of Western classical music into jazz. Keith Jarrett continues his rather prolific career as an artist and musician, with many considering the music of his late period as some of his best work to date.
