Cory Chisel & the Wandering Sons

Though technically residing in the Americana and folk vein, Cory Chisel's songs drip with a soulful quality that can be traced back to the church and gospel music that first inspired him as a little boy. Together with his band The Wandering Sons, the Appleton, Wisconsin musician creates hushed, gentle ballads and acoustic rock songs that incorporate subtle hints of American roots music, blues, country and classic soul. Chisel's bandmates adequately bolster the feel and space of his songs by incorporating tasteful arrangements full of piano, oboe, violin, organ and drums.
