Though Brendan Benson's critics might peg him as overly sentimental musician who sings about tormented love through the confines of modern pop-friendly indie rock, the Nashville based musician is a true-to-heart singer/songwriter who can write memorable songs with infectious melodies. Getting his start in the late 1990s with the release of his debut LP One Mississippi, Benson has since taken to several collaborative projects including the much praised Raconteurs, featuring Jack White on guitar and vocals.
