Liam Bailey

Liam Bailey is a neo soul singer from Nottingham, England who is heavily influenced by early American rock and roll and blues music. Similar to contemporaries such as Amy Winehouse and Sharon Jones, Bailey attempts to reinvigorate the appeal of classic era soul music by framing it in a slightly more modern fashion. His debut single "You Better Leave Me" layers his smooth, smokey vocals atop vintage sounding guitars and a beat full of minor key string arrangements. The success of the song led to promotion of Bailey's first full-length album, which was released in 2011.
