Toundra

Toundra is a Spanish instrumental post rock band formed from the remnants of the short-lived screamo project Nacen De Las Cenizas. Based out of Madrid, the metal-tinged four-piece creates heavy-hitting mini epics that aim to find a likeness with popular flagship bands of the genre, such as Isis and Mogwai. The quiet/loud dynamic factors heavily into Toundra's music, as songs will often mellow to a meandering, tension-building crawl, only to suddenly erupt into a mess of guitar riffs, heavy metal soloing and pounding, cathartic drumming.
