Windings is an Irish indie rock band from Cork, Ireland. Formed in 2006, the band consists of Steve Ryan (vocals, guitar), Dave O'Connor (bass, backing vocals), and Eoin O'Callaghan (drums). Windings has released four studio albums to date, including their debut album, I Am Not the Crow (2008), and their most recent album, No News from Home (2016). Windings' music is characterized by its melodic, guitar-driven sound, with Ryan's distinctive vocals and thoughtful lyrics. Their music has been described as a mix of indie rock, folk, and post-punk, with influences from the likes of The Smiths, The Cure, and The National. Windings' songs often explore themes of love, loss, and longing, and their live shows are known for their passionate energy and dynamic performances. Since their formation, Windings has toured extensively throughout Europe, the UK, and the US, and have performed at some of the world's most renowned festivals, including Glastonbury, SXSW, and Electric Picnic. They have also collaborated with a number of notable artists, including The National's Aaron Dessner and The Frames' Glen Hansard. Windings' music has been featured in a number of films and television shows, including the hit series, The Walking Dead.
