Hailing from the Czech Republic, Inferno is a black metal band that was founded in the mid-1990s. With vocalist Galina Yvenko at the helm, the band went through various lineups before stabilizing and releasing its debut album, Duch slovanské síly, in 2001. With dark and oftentimes violent themes of paganism and war, Inferno captured a fan base among audiences of both heavy metal and hardcore punk. The band has since continued to grow its following with tours and new material, such as the 2009 studio LP, Black Devotion.
