Christian Durstewitz, a German singer and songwriter, gained initial recognition after opening for Swiss singer Stefanie Heinzmann's German tour in 2010. He then released his debut album, Let Me Sing, which he composed, except for one song, and produced in Berlin's Valicon Studio. The album's first single, Stalker, was released in October 2010, followed by Let Me Sing in January 2011, which was also the theme song of the film Vorstadtkrokodile 3, in which Durstewitz had a small guest role. He went on his first tour of Germany in February of that year and performed at various events, including the Lambertusmarkt in Erkelenz and the Jazz Festival Idstein.
