Sharks was a punk rock band from Leamington Spa, England that was hailed by many as being one of the better old school punk rock acts on the modern British music scene. Since forming in 2007, Sharks has preferred to get its sound out by steadily releasing EPs, performing on tour and at punk venues throughout the UK. The band's breakout was its second EP Show of Hands, released in 2010 to widespread critical acclaim that celebrated the members' skill and maturity despite their energetic and youthful demeanor. Sharks followed up its acclaimed release with an LP in 2011 titled The Joys of Living, which compiled a slew of unreleased tracks into a suitably "chaotic" punk rock album that continues to garner the acclaim of music publications and blogs around the world.
