Diamonds Under Fire was a Los Angeles-based alternative rock band formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Vanessa Silberman. The band went through various lineup changes before solidifying with drummer Jessica Goodwin and bassist Melinda Holms joining in 2012. They self-released their debut record in 2011 and embarked on a tour, including dates with Uh Huh Her. Over the years, Diamonds Under Fire released singles, EPs, and albums, gaining recognition for their powerful live performances and being featured on compilations and in magazines. Their music blended elements of grunge, rock 'n roll, and pop melodies, drawing comparisons to artists like Nirvana, Joan Jett, and Pink. After the band's hiatus, Vanessa Silberman pursued a solo career, releasing singles and working as a recording engineer and producer, while also running an artist development label.
