Born in Copiague, NY Donnie McClurkin is a gospel singer and Christian minister. He released his self-titled debut LP in 1996 and was critically and commercially acclaimed for hits such as "Stand" and "We Fall Down," earning praise from Oprah Winfrey and a Grammy Award for Traditional soul Gospel Album. He made the transition to radio and television and ha since been broadcasting shows such as Perfecting Your Faith on cable television.
