Eric Gales

Eric Gales is a blues-rock guitarist from Memphis, Tennessee who was hailed as a child prodigy when he first picked up a guitar at the age of four. After honing in on his own distinctive style of playing a right-handed guitar upside down, a nontraditional technique he learned from his older brother, he began crafting a blues-driven hard rock sound. This quickly earned him a recording contract with Elektra Records in 1990 at the age of sixteen. The label signed both he and his brother, Eugene, who released The Eric Gales Band along with drummer Hubert Crawford in 1991. Gales has since continued to perform and record new material as the leader of various outfits. Recently, the Eric Gales Trio released Ghost Notes with Tone Center records in 2013.
