KC & the Sunshine Band

KC and the Sunshine Band is a disco band from Miami, Florida that is best known for its mainstream hits "That's the Way (I Like It)" and "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty," amongst many others. Founded in 1973 by lead vocalist Harry "KC" Wayne Casey, the group managed to become a personification of the disco scene throughout the 1970s, with its pop-charged sound and its campy style. Though the collapse of disco forced the group to break up in 1984, KC and the Sunshine Band returned in 1993 and has been touring fairly regularly since then.
