Pinchas Zukerman is a violinist, violist and conductor from Tel Aviv, Israel who is considered by many to be one of the greatest living violinists of the 20th and 21st Centuries. Upon discovered by the great violinists Isaac Stern and Pablo Casals during their trip to Israel in 1962, Zukerman would spend the rest of that decade showcasing his talents all over the US and Europe, earning the acclaim and respect of some of the world's leading musicians. After his world debut in the 1960s, Pinchas Zukerman began to branch out into other fields of music performance, earning several awards over the course of his illustrious career, included the United States' highest artistic honor, the National Medal of Arts.
