Positive Force is a soul funk band from Pennsylvania that is powered by an eight-piece lineup. After capturing the attention of Nate Edmonds, producer, mentor and former band mat of Jimi Hendrix, the band landed a record deal with the Sugarhill label and released its debut album We Got the Funk, in 1979. Though the album flopped in the US, the band issued a self-titled follow up record in 1980 and earned a cult following in the UK.
