Sweet Honey In the Rock

Sweet Honey in the Rock is a female African-American vocal group based out of Washington, D.C. Founded in 1973 as a four-person ensemble, the outfit has expanded over the years to include an additional vocalist as well as a sixth member who acts as a sign-language interpreter. Performing with the intention of expressing women's history through song, dance, color and sign language, Sweet Honey in the Rock has managed to do that and more over its decades long existence.
