Made up of two DJs and an audio-visual artist, Echaskech was formed in London in 2004. Former drum and bass DJs, Dom Hoare and Andy Gillham began their new project to make forays into the realms of electronica, breakbeat and dark electro-funk. After adding Mach V, who is best known for his work exhibited in the Tate Britain, Echaskech had its visual element and began performing throughout London. The trio caught the attention of Jon Hopkins, who convinced his label Just Music to sign them, and since then, Echaskech has found success both with its own material and remixes.
