The Capstan Shafts

Vermont's Capstan Shafts is bringing the New England area a healthy dose of lo-fi garage rock—a sound that has swept much of Northern California and Brooklyn. Writing extremely short, tight songs with a generous amount of fuzz, Capstan Shafts has perfected the art of home recordings and a personal approach to releasing and writing music. Capstan Shafts self-releases most of its material, selling it for small sums and even sharing much of it for free.
