Boston Spaceships is Robert Pollard's main band and should not be confused with one of Pollard's side projects. Formed in 2008, Boston Spaceships is composed of three veteran musicians, all had been in the former group Guided By Voices and have all had decades of experience and influence to draw on. Their double LP album Let it Beard has been met with critical acclaim and is Pollard's masterpiece. He is quite fond of his work and not the least bit modest as he has compared Let it Beard to the White Album meets Quadrophenia meet Jesus Christ Superstar. Their psychedelic rock brings listeners back to the years it dominated of the 60's and 70's.
