Ivan Smagghe

Formerly a member and founder of Black Strobe, the long-running French electroclash outfit, Ivan Smagghe has since gone the solo route as a house and electro producer. His raw, rock-tinged beats trade back and forth between steady house pulses and more minimal passages full of spacey sci-fi bleeps. Smagghe frequently releases albums of his original material, including the popular 2003 LP, How to Kill the DJ, and continues to find new audiences thanks to regular gigs at famous clubs throughout the UK and Western Europe.
