Doc Brown is the stage name for Ben Smith, a rapper and comedian based in London who is also known as a member of the rap group Poisonous Poets, also based in London. Doc received his first taste of acclaim with the release of his 2004 collaboration with Poisonous Poet associate Lowkey entitled Donnie's Lament, which increased the young rapper's stature amongst underground rap enthusiasts throughout the UK. Gaining additional success with his particularly unique skills as a comedian, Doc Brown can be heard on BBC 4 Radio doing his own stand-up routine where he combines rap with comedy in a show that has virtually ensured the young artist's continued success as a performer and comedian.
