Achille Lauro

Achille Lauro is a Denver, Colorado-based rock band that revolves prominently around the brotherly working dynamic of Luke (guitar/keys) and Ben (drums/samples) Mossman. Along with vocalist/guitarist Matt Close and bassist Jon Evans, the band plays mellow indie rock that includes some jazzy influences, which can mainly be found in the strong interplay between instruments that exists in its members' performances. Not all is quiet and cerebral, however, as Achille Lauro likes to play around with soft/loud dynamics, often erupting into cathartic passages that offer a nice contrast to the snaky and sparse post rock-inspired moments.
