Scott Walker was a singer/songwriter and musician who dabbled in the realms of pop as well as experimental and avant-garde music. After being cast as a teen idol in the late 1950s and forming The Walker Brothers in the early 1960s, he began a solo career and quickly rose in popularity across Europe with his crooning, orchestral sound. Despite having released several acclaimed records, Walker's sales took a serious hit in the 1970s that eventually led to the reformation of The Walker Brothers. Walker revitalized his solo efforts in the 1980s, when he released his first solo record in ten years, Climate of Hunter in 1984, and began to release the experimental music he would go on to be known for. He released his fourteenth studio album Bish Bosch in 2012, which would also be his last as he succumbed to cancer in 2019.
