Post hardcore band Bitch Magnet emerged when Jon Fine and Sooyoung Park began collaborating at Oberlin College in 1986. In the following two years, the band acquired drummer Orestes Delatorre and released the mini-LP titled Star Booty on its own label, Roman Candle Records, in 1988. After some additions and changes in the lineup, two full-length albums and a handful of singles, Bitch Magnet announced that the band's original trio would play the UK Nightmare Before Christmas Festival in December of 2011. The group's three albums were reissued in November of 2011 on a limited edition triple LP set, kicking off what fans hoped would be the next leg in this punk rock band's music legacy. Although the band has not performed together in years, it continues to command a fair fan following.
