Gravenhurst is the project of Bristol-based singer/songwriter and guitar-picking virtuoso, Nick Talbot. Combining the sounds of folk and alternative rock with darker, moodier atmospheric sounds akin to shoegaze, he began performing as a solo act under his chosen moniker in 1999 and Gravenhurst has since evolved into a full-blown live band with Talbot at the helm. Also a sound technician, he co-founded the record label Silent Age with Guy Bartell in 2003 and released his debut album, Internal Travels. Talbot continues to run his label and has since gone on to release material with Warp Records including his fifth studio effort The Ghost in Daylight, in 2012.
