Protest the Hero

Protest the Hero is a progressive metal band from Ontario, Canada that was originally called Happy Go Lucky when it formed in 1999 before changing its name in 2002, shortly before releasing its debut EP Search For the Truth. Following several years of working hard to spread its sound on the road, it didn't take long for Protest the Hero to rise to the upper-echelons of Canada's indie scene in the mid 2000s. Now, Protest the Hero has an international presence among like bands, with the band's last two albums, Fortress and Scurrilous, topping the charts in both Canada and the United States.
