Jesse Malin is reviving the spirit of hard rocking with his embrace of leather-clad rock 'n roll rebellion of the past. At once haunting, melodic and hard-edged, Malin has been a mainstay on the New York City music scene for years, as a member of various bands, including Heart Attack and D Generation. The Queens native embarked on a solo career in 2002 with the release of his album The Fine Art of Self-Destruction, in collaboration with fellow downtown rocker Ryan Adams as producer. He went on to release five more full-length studio albums in eight years, as well as an EP and a live album. Malin's solo project has received great critical success, bringing his sound to a new generation of fans. Consistent with this success, Malin has toured all over the world to sold-out audiences, never losing the verve and fervor of his incipient days in rock 'n roll.
