During the '50s Jerry Lee Lewis was one of the big names to emerge out of Sun Records. His peers included cats like Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and a lot of other seminal musicians. Lewis played super early rock n' roll and he had a fire inside his belly that was hard to extinguish and his piano playing was unmatched. Lewis would have gone one to be one of the more respected singer/songwriters of his generation if his reputation wasn't marred by the press and public finding out that he married his first cousin, who was 13 years old at the time of marriage. The eventual fall out caused catastrophic damage to Lewis' career and he would not regain prominence until the later end of his life cycle.
