Martin Longstaff aka The Lake Poets is a singer-songwriter and a multi-instrumentalist. He grew up listening to his mom’s collection of Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Neil Young and gradually adopted their songwriting mannerisms. Known for his soothing music, melodious voice and heartwarming lyrics about love and loss, this Sunderland-based artist has been winning hearts all over the world. Although a solo artist, Martin Longstaff often performs and records with his friends and has shared the stage with Ben Howard, Jake Bugg and Lucy Rose. The name 'The Lake Poets' is taken from the book It was called Recollections of the lake poets’, which perfectly describes their love for all things nature and English literature.
