Malcolm Holcombe

North Carolina-born artist Malcolm Holcombe is a folk singer/songwriter who creates a rustic brand of Americana. Matching his hard facade, his raw voice keeps his acoustic, harmonica-flourished music from sounding anything close to hillbilly music, despite Holcombe's small-town roots, traditional style and country influences. He released his debut album A Far Cry from Here, in 1994 and his ninth album, To Drink the Rain in 2011.
